Unsurprisingly a long lie in was had today. When we did surface we went downstairs for a buffet breakfast/lunch. This was definitely a quantity over quality affair. Only kidding!! Our first day in Vegas was actually pretty tame, some may even say boring - but we needed it! We had a lovely long lie in, with no rush to check out at all, which was lovely. What happens Vegas, stays in Vegas.

After a nice big breakfast and checking out, we hit the road for Vegas. We had the choice of the scenic but 11hour journey through Yosemite, or the 8hour less interesting journey around Yosemite. We chose the latter. Instead of attempting the spanish CD (advanced as it is) we instead listened to the Les Mis soundtrack, I did such a good job at acting out all the parts, that Donna felt like she had actually watched the film.
