Hello Everyone,

I thought it would be good to start with a little introduction about how the trip began. We (for those who don't know let me introduce my friend Aimee who has come with me for 3 weeks) flew with Jet Airways and thanks to my lovely friend Nicki we managed to check in at first class so no queueing (always a godsend). The service was good and the food was yummy for airplane food. We had a chicken curry with sagg paneer (Pete you would love it) and a rotti. I watched Clash of the Titans which was excellent. So Pete/Panks watch it if you haven't already :) So Sylbo and Seema you were indeed right..a good airline to fly with.

We then stopped in Mumbai where we picked up a bottle of Rose and water before we got on the next flight to Bangkok. On this flight exhaustion kicked in and I passed out. We arrived in Bangkok and got on the A2 bus to the Khoa San Road for 150 baht (£3). After a little while we found our accomodation and chucked the backpacks in the room and showered and ventured off to find some food. We ate a green and red curry between us with spring rolls and these prawns wrapped in bacon. We toasted the start of the trip with a Pina Colada.

We then found a place (like there is a shortage :)) to get a foot massage and backrub for 120 baht..we got some nibbles for our journey the next day to Cambodia and headed back 'home' to sleep.

It was a great way to start the trip..
