Our next stop was Puerto Iguazu which was one of the the gateways to the very famous Iguassu Falls. We arrived at 12 lunchtime and I could instantly tell we were back in the tropics and it felt great. There was so much greenery everywhere and there was heat. HEAT I tell you. After so much cold weather it was brilliant to have some sun again. We were staying at the Hostel Inn which was a YHA hostel and it was lovely. There was a massive pool and it was situated on a big ground. We were in a 6 bed ensuite and it was nice and had a big bathroom with a hot shower which made a nice change after Cordoba. There were alse 3 nice English girls in there. I decided to take some time and chill out after the 20hour trip there and sit by the pool (well its been ages) and just read.. aww bliss! Later on we opted to join in a buffet which did not disappoint. It was chicken, meats, salad, rice, pasta, salad.. all good food!

The next day we headed off to the falls. We could not get in contact with Sanj as he could not get good wifi so we headed there for 9am. It was 100 pesos to get in the fall and we walked to the train station. You get a train to the Devils throat. We missed one so I walked to the next train station. It was only 10 minutes away and it was a lovely walk through the jungle and I got on the train there. The Devils throat was really impressive, like brilliant. There were loads of waterfalls and it was so powerful and crazy. The current was unreal and it poured down into the massive drop below. It was quite overwhelming. Apparently some people get so overcome by it they committ suicide. Afterwards we headed to do some walking trails down to the lower circuit to look up the falls. We bumped into Sanj and arranged to meet up with him an hour or so later. Rach and I then went on the waterfalls ride which was 110 and it was brilliant. They take you right under the falls twice and you get absolutely soaked but its totally exhilarating. They then take you close to another one and the rapids are crazy as you end up in the midst of all the falls. Brilliant though!! A few months ago a couple of tourists died as the driver had a heart attack and the boat flipped trapping them. I think it was the first accident in Argentinas history so its sad but these things happen and it did not put me off. After the falls we were soaked and we headed to the restaurant to meet Sanj. We met him and then went and did the upper circuit. This was great as you overlooked the falls. It really was beautiful and it was great to see them. I picked up a beautiful hand crafted magnet whilst up there. The girls headed back to the hostel and I went with Sanj to check out the Devils throat as he had not seen it yet. I was glad I went the second time as it was quiet for a short while and he has a great camera so I managed to get some good pictures which will hopefully illustrate how gorgeous it was. You do get a bit soaked when you get close to the falls as you can imagine from the spray. After doing this we headed back to the hostel. I spent an hour by the pool enjoying the last bit of time there. We then had mash and chicken for dinner at the hostel which again was good. It was an early night for us all as we had a long day the next day crossing the boarder for Brazil and then heading to the falls on the Brazil side.

Sanjeev and I met at 9ish on the Friday at the bus station. Ellen and Rach were staying an extra night in Puerto Iguazu as Rachel was not to well. We caught a bus from the station heading for Foz Del Iguazu and it took about 15 mins to get to the boarder. We then got out, got stamped out of Argentina and then got back on the same bus and crossed the bridge for the Brazil boarder. There we were let out and got our Brazil stamp and had to wait for the next bus. He gave us a voucher so we did not have to pay again. It was all very simple and the only pain was waiting about 40 mins for the next bus and it was roasting. It eventually came and then we got into Foz and got off the bus a bit further away then we should of. After a hot and sweaty walk we ended up at the hostel and managed to get into the room straight away. Not long after we got some cash out and then headed for Paraguay. It was really easy we just caught a bus for 3 real. We did not even get off the bus to stamp out and into Paraguay. The guy at our hostel had told us this as well. It was really slow when crossing the bridge due to the amount of traffic but we eventually turned up in the crazy eletronic heaven. We did some hunting around but it seemed that there was a large amount of shops selling all the stuff but it was not as cheap as we expected. Also we could not really tell if we were paying a cheaper price then we would back home. After looking for an Iphone 4 which they did not have and I was not sure about the camera we turned home. As it worked out it was a little cheaper for one that I had my eye on a Lumix Panasonic FZ100, 80quid but then add on the card charges it probably would not have been so cheap. We ended up popping to the supermarket and grabbing a pizza and some chicken nuggets to cook for dinner... healthy healthy.. Tomorrow Ellen and Rach are coming over..we are going to the falls from the Brazil side for a few hours (it should be nice but not as good as the Argentina side) then we are getting a night bus to Florianopolis which is a beach town and I cannot wait. I need some sun and beaches and I will be one happy girl!! In the next 2 weeks I hope to go to Sao Paulo, Ilha Grande and then finally to Rio for my last 6 nights.
