The next day was a right off and we chilled out watching film in the hostel before our bus to Cordoba. We got to Cordoba and did not realise it was the May bank holiday in Argentina as well so a lot of places were closed. We went for a walk and there was luckily a bakery open so we filled up on all things naughty. After a nap we headed out for dinner. We ended up in a lovely restaurant where I had steak and mash with some veg, it was very yummy. It was all very civilised :) We then went to a few different bars for some drinks, we tried some cocktails which were pretty bad apart from one mojito. We were up for a big night out but it was really really quiet so after a few more we headed back to go to bed. We played some cards for a while and then called it a night.
The next day we got up and headed for the Ernesto 'Che' Guevara museum which is in his old home in Alta Gracia (which means high grace). It was about 45 mins from the city and it was only 5 pesos to go in the house. It was a beautiful neighbourhood and the museum was really interesting. I learnt quite a bit about him. The pictures were great and there was even a short dvd from some of the people who knew him. We were then given a book to read what the pictures were from and some of the history about him. I learnt he had asthma, he travelled on 2 trips through South America and learnt about the poverty in other parts of it.. his meeting with Fidel Castro, his involvement in the Cuba revolution and then his subsequent death in Bolivia.. all very interesting. We then headed back and got back quite late and made a little family dinner with some red wine. Me, Hilary and Jen ended up staying in whilst the others headed out. The next day we chilled out and I took a little stroll about but there were some hangovers in full swing. Cordoba was really nice for the short time we were there.. there was a real mix of old and new buildings and it seemed like a cool place to hang out. Its always a shame there is not enough time really. Our next bus was at 4pm. We split up with our Irish friends who headed north and we headed west towards BRAZIL baby!!
