Sunday 4th June 2017
On the road again, this time on the Goldfields Highway. We were lucky enough today to spot an eagle and a very mature echidna this morning. I must admit we have seen very little wildlife on this trip.
It is very overcast today down to 18 degrees. We drove to Norseman for a morning tea stop then on to the Eyre Highway heading to Balladonia Roadhouse overnight. Balladonia is on the Nullarbor Plain, so once again we are camped among the trees and it is dry and dusty, and the amenities here certainly leave a lot to be desired. No shower for me tonight!
I did, however, have to head off to the toilet a couple of times during the night as my stomach was doing flip flops again, and the second time I totally lost my bearings and was creeping around the park (which had no lighting) trying to figure out where we were. All the vans looked the same at night! I did have a torch but forgot to turn on the outside light on the van. There was no water at all here either.
As I often say, the joys of camping!
