Dear internet diary, to whom i confess anything, today has been freaky. To a fullest exent freaky good though. Have been up in Penang, a small Island at the north end of Malaysia, with My great couchsurfing host, Farid. Spent yesterday on the road from KL to Penang and did some tourist stuff on the roadtrip with Farid. For example a massive, and we're talking huge, cave system. Can't remember the name just yet, but amazing s***.
Today we've been around the entire Island if Penang, got My hair cut finally. Ended up with some military crew cut so I'll have to crop it a bit more later I think but feels awesome with short hair again. Next we went out to eat some wierd stuff (as with most of everything). Ended up with some sort of icecream dessert with corn and then fried noodles with squid (mee sotong). Stingy, but good.
After that we were supposed to take a walk along the north part of Penang, an area called georgetown that is on UNESCO world heirtage list. The rain that ensued, however, killed the idea in it's cradle.
What we did was take the free bus around a bit and by happenstance met a girl from germany who happened to be travelling about in asia after nine months in new Zeeland.
Right now it's f***ing 4 AM so I'll keep it short because I'm dead tired but we went to a waterfall all three, ate some wierd fruit that tasted like exrements and ended up on the beach drinking beer and in a really cool club.
