Day 27 26th July
Bit of a nothing day again, big sunday morning market where Darren finally got his uggs and just a walk round the shops, i feel we did something else but i cant remember
Day 28
the last but highly eventful day in Melbourne! we set out again with high hopes, this time to find the F1 track..we found th park its staged at but as Ramsey street there was quote the angry tourist infomation guy 'theres just nothing there' he got quite worked up about how its just a park during the year and they remove all trace of the F1, the pits are used as changing rooms apparently..after that we went up the Rialto 360 tower for a really good view of melbourne and as it was raining a cool rainbow over the buildings.
And now for the blog ive been looking forward to! the 'flight' from Melbourne to Hong kong!
Although Melbourne was cool, there wasn't to much to do and we were looking forward to HK so we arrived at the airport pretty much the first ones there! and went to the check in desk where i put my tickets and passport on the desk only to turn round to darren scrambling in his back and saying he couldnt find his! So after more scrambling he literally couldnt!! a stressful call to Sta and a talk to Quantas we had no choice but to concede defeat and spend another day in Melbourne, booked on the same flight but 24 hours later..we found a hotel at the airport checked in and then went back to the airport for food..where i inoccently said I'm paranoid about my tickets now, there going in my money belt in Vietnam...then as if in slow motion Darren looks at me and says the money belt! the one time i didnt have my camera his face was literally a picture..back in the hotel room i did the honour of opening his money belt and finding his crumpled plane ticket to HK, he ran back to the airport to see if it was to late to check in, we missed it by half an hour...it was all very funny but meant a day of nothing apart from going to sta the day after in Melbourne.
Day 29
Nothing much to say really chilled in Melbourne until our flight at 10.50pm where we did get a slight upgrade and i throughly enjoyed the boat that rocked on the plane..arrived in Hong kong at 5.30am
