As you read in my last blog, God took care of us when we didn't get out of Chicago on time by causing a delay in Brussels for the connecting flight. We flew into Kigali in the evening so there wasn't much to see but all the city lights. Several employees of the Solace Ministries Rwanda office met us at the airport and welcomed us.
We are staying in hotel/guest house. We have running water (although we can't drink it) and wireless internet access but no air conditioning (doesn't bother me at all not having that!!!). It is kind of like living in the dorms all over again, except that each room has its own bathroom.
We were fed on the plane, but they also fed us dinner at the guest house. I am quite enjoying the old glass Coke bottles.
Anyway, tomorrow is a big day and I have to try to get some sleep. I will try to update you with all the events from Days 1 and 2 soon.
