Well arrived here about to to six in he morning GMT 11.50 bombay time. Hotel is a bit disappointing but hen you look at the others there is not much difference. Had a couple of hours kip then hired a car and driver to take us into Bombay to see some of he city. Very similar to Bangkok - busy lots of Tuk Tuk's but much dirtier than Bangkok. very hot 33c when we landed but was up to 43.5c when we went in into Bombay this pm. As it is Sunday it was very busy with families, visted Kamala Nehru Park which I suppose is a bit like our botanic gardens but with lots of Bonsai and hedge sculptures made into different animals. Our driver took us to a traditional family restaurant which was okay - no onion bhajis or pakora, they looked at me as if I was asking for something very unusual. However we had a large bottle of water, two drinks, 2 starters, 2 main dishes and a naan bread each and it cost us just over eight pounds. So things are very cheap. But I'm afraid to say thats all thats good about Bombay!. Early night as we are leaving at 5am to go to Dehli for our visit to the Taj Mahal.
