14.02.11 Te Anau

Started the day by visiting the sandfly Cafe for a leisurely breakfast and read of the papers and magazines. It is actually sunny today, and has been pleasantly warm. We managed to pass some time watching the helicopter land on a tiny jetty beside the lake, and watched the seaplane taking off.

We are all prepared for our alpine Kepler Track tomorrow. We have packed food for 5 days, billy can, sleeping bags and various layers of clothing etc. We will be out of touch for some of the time depending on mobile signal...I know that there is none for most of the track.

Damian and I are going to catch a tiny boat accross the lake to start our walk tomorrow...it cuts out an hour and a half walk around the lake and means we can have a leisurely breakfast before our 5 hour climb to Luxmore hut!!!! Well worth it I say.

Signing out now, and will be in touch probably after the walk and after our Milford Sound cruise which is on Saturday...so that will be next Sun or Mon internet allowing. x x to all
