Windsor Castle - finally made it. Thank goodness the rain has let up. The queue was soooo long. Decided to be a little sneaky and went online (thanks to iPad & 3G) and managed to book online. So nice, just bypassed the queue.
Founded in 1066 by William the Conquerer. It has been home to 39 monarchs and is the oldest royal residence in the British Isles, and continues to be used.
And lucky for us, we got a tour of the Royal Kitchen - been in use for the last 750 years. Very impressive (wander if it has passed the Gordon Ramsay test).
