I have spent the last few days in the Cornwall region, staying in an 'interesting' backpackers in the seaside town of Newquay. The hostel was clean enough, but there were some seriously protruding springs in the beds and the manager of the place was not the most cognisant or organised of people to say the least. Hi everyone! I have now been back in England for about a week and am now staying in Sevenoaks, which is in the 'greenbelt' area just outside London. Since I have been here we have explored an old heritage building (as seen in the photo), made a couple of trips into London to drink beers in the sunshine (yes, that's right, sunshine in London) and have seen some interesting exhibitions at the Tate Modern gallery. We have also done a couple of day trips....

We arrived in Barcelona on Thursday morning on an onvernight train from Paris. After dumping our luggage at the hostel (yes, that's right, this time we actually had luggage and the reservation was still valid!) we explored our surroundings. We stayed right in the middle of Barcelona just off the famous (infamous perhaps?!) Las Ramblas where they have all sorts of crazy stalls and buskers. It's amazing that so many people actually get money from dressing up in biz...

We finally got our luggage back on Monday night - ironically we had just wasted a morning trying to buy all of the 'essentials' we needed to get by. I was thankful for insurance, but unfortunately $200 Australian dollars doesn't get you very far when you convert it into Euros - especially not in the centre of Paris!
