So we've been in Krakow for 2 nights now and fairly busy. The bus trip from Brno was long and tiring. Stopped at one of the forts built by the Czechs during WW2 and had a tour of the inside. Eventually arrived in Krakow in early evening. Had dinner at a nice restaurant and then a short walk around the city. Yesterday we did a more thorough tour in the morning and then went down one of the salt mines in the afternoon. Off to Auschwitz today.

15/7/11 It's been another busy week with classes in the morning and other things to do in the afternoon on most days. We went out to Austerlitz to the peace memorial and the battlefields of Napoleon's greatest victory. It is all agricultural land now and so peaceful that it is hard to imagine 150,000 men fighting a war in a single day.
