Heya Everyone! I know it's been ages since i've updated this blog. So some of you might have heard some of this when i spoke on the phone But nevermind!.
The last week in Cooma came around really quickly and so in the last week managed to get loads of treks in around the pretty countyside and different activities such as clem sent us a lamb and Mark, ash, and daniel took it in turns butchering it right out side my window and didnt catch the blood so nadia the swiss girl wasnt very pleased as she was a vegetarian and there was blood all over the floor which attracted the flys...lovelydovely! on our last day we went goat hunting. We got on the horses and set of on a very long 4 hour trek to find some goats and took joey the tiny terrier dog with us as he was the catcher and after a while we found some goats joey went running off with his teeth in the back of one while daniel the german guy and I had to wait for them to come back and they took so long we wondered if they had got lost or gone back without us!. tHough Ash told me in great detail about how they chased the goat into a stream then ash had to cut its throat and chop its head off then strap it to the horse. So when they came back to us there was blood running all down the horses bottom and a headless goat attached. Something Im sure claudia would have loved to see! not!
We are in Melbourne now and spent a lovely christmas at pint on punt which was an irish hostel and had a yummy xmas dinner cooked there followed by a bottle of bubbly. Xmas day we spent some time on the beach so hot though in strappy top and shorts and still hot!
The other hostel we went to was freemans lodge and was much nicer and very quiet.. We are moving onto anotherone soon which is a bit of a party hostel in comparrison!
Since we've been in Melbourne we have:
Done some sale shopping
Gone and met cortney this guy we met at cooma who pays for horseriding lessons in the afternoon and ending up leaving at 1am!
Had an indian takeaway on the pier
Gone to see avatar
had lunch at tgi's
gone in the sea
Gone to the aquariam
Going to an art gallery (tommorow) bothe the traditioanal and contempory galleries
For new years eve I think ash and i have decided that we are going to watch some bands as there are a couple of stage set up around the city with free music and there will be free firework displays which will cut the cost down as all bars and clubs are charging rediculas amounts to get in.
I think plans are changing to go on a tour along the great ocean road on our way to adelade then go back to cooma as i am missing rema and bertie ( the dog and pony) a lot!
Thankyou to all the xmas cards and gifts people sent me was a lovely surprise!
Sorry my update isnt very long this internet cafe is rather expensive so dont have much time! will try and put some photos on here soon.
Lots of Love. Missing you all lots and lots.

update from the 1st Jan
Happy new year everyone had a lovely night last night and hope you all did too. We are at a new hostel now called Kings st backpackers which is really well situated hardly need to use the public transport at all as easy to walk to most places. Massive hostel though and 16 bed dorm so quite noisy thankyou mum for the earplugs and eyemask! Went out for NYE and watched an aboriginal band outside on a stage while it was raining down but really warm. Spoke to the family on the phone this morning which was nice None of the pay phones are working at the hostel at the mo there so have to run along the road to phone home to get them to ringg reception then run back again to get the call . Not much open today though getting quite peckish so will have to go and find something to eat. Added a couple more photos from ashs camera onto the sydney and australian update photo folder so i do hope you can see them all. Meant to be getting the hire car in a couple of dayss but not sure if it is possible without the paper counterpart to ashs driving licence will be giving them a call soon. Disappointing if not as beautiful though may use the public transport option if we cant get a hire car but will be quite awkward as not many buses/trains run alonfg there as quite remote. Ash Spoke to his friend charles this morn who is very up to us coming to his early as he has to work more at the end of the month so it fit his plans perfectly and spoke to mark and rosemary in cooma again and they kept joking that we would be welcome to come tommorow if we liked and said will pick us up anyday we decide to come back which is nice so prob will go on the 21st but plans might change...yes mum i will let you know.
Lots of love Lewy xx
