18/10/08 Got a taxi from our huts on the beach to the pier in some seriously heavy rain, even the locals were jumping and looking scared about the thunder. 14/10/08 Lounged around on the beach all day, waiting for the full moon party. Picked up some bottles of whisky to drink, it only costs around 2 quid for a bottle. Got a taxi there at around 10pm with some of the others from the beach. The first thing you see when you get there are hundreds of stalls selling buckets of spirits and mixers. 09/10/08 Me Helen, Coops and Emily (a friend of Pats we randomly bumped into in the hostel) decided to go to a Thai cooking class for the day. Such good fun, chose 6 dishes each to cook, cant really remember what I cooked, but I do know how to make some spicy curry paste. 06/10/08 The cockroach outside our hostel had a bad night of it, was still on its back 9 hours later, gutted. Got picked up by our tour guide from the hostel and picked up 2 others that were on the trek with us, 2 Swedes, Henrik and Josephine, friendly chaps. 03/10/08 Spent the day wandering around the city, went to ChinaTown and had fried rice with pork, and saw about a million flipflop stores. We then went to MBK shopping mall.
