After we'd dumped our stuff we found an Irish pub that had a free pool table so we had a fry up and made good use of the table before wandering around town. I saw a Sony shop on the way so asked if they could fix my camera, they came back with a lens cleaner and solution, t*** ! Walked in to a 7-11 to buy some water and saw some chocolate milk so I thought I'd give it a go, seeing as I hadn't had milk in over a month. Such a good feeling when it hits your lips! In the evening we decided to wander around the night market and just bought food off the market when we were hungry. Saw a man with a chocolate milk dispenser so me and Pat got one each, turns out he fills the cup to the brim with ice then puts 3 swigs worth in it, what a rip off, but it was still really nice. The girls wandered off and managed to find a guy selling candy floss but in the shape of noodles and it tasted like shredded wheat, bit of a let down. Played a few games of pool for free on the way back home.

The day of chocolate. Went into town so that Helen could phone home and people could use the book swap shop. While Helen was on the phone outside the 7-11 I went in and got a carton of chocolate milk, Burns couldn't resist and got a strawberry one and instantly agreed that its the best drink he'd had all travels. We both decided that we were loving chocolate, so went to the bakery stall down the road and got a massive chocolate brownie with nuts on each and scoffed it. Wandered to the other end of Krabi to a park and bought some Oreos to eat, the girls sat on some really spikey grass while the rest of us played frisbee with a rotation system so we could work on our tan. Somehow Burns always ended up with his back to the sun, and he does actually now have the back of a black man. Me and Burns started to really need a piss so went for a wander to find a toilet, I was burstin so went in the first one I found which was a disused squatty hole in the floor, the moment I started I realised it was a bad idea because thousands of ants started running out all over the place, so I finished quickly and ran out brushing them all off my legs and feet. Burns managed to find a really nice one about 5 yards away. After we'd built up a rather disgusting sweat from the frisbee sesh we went to sit in a cafe and ended up ordering massive chocolate sundaes that were about 50p each, what a bargain. We stopped off for another bit of frisbee on the way back to the hostel and the fountains in the park were turned on, so I thought I'd get a photo of them, didn't notice untill we were 100 yards away that I'd left my sun glasses on the side and couldn't go back for them in that heat, so I've gone from 3 pair of sunny's to 1 in the space of a week, just hope this last pair lasts a little longer. Had a nap while listening to the legend that is Karl Pilkington. Woke up and went out to the Irish bar for a couple of Changs before eating. We'd decided to eat at a place round the corner where it turns out Matt from Phi Phi was staying, because we wanted to enjoy a Pizza for 130 Baht and a Keg of Chang for 320 Baht. When we got there they told us that they didn't have any Kegs of Chang or any Pizza, so we ordered Thai dishes. Pat got his curry and then the waitress came to tell me that they didn't have any rice. Thailand and they didn't have any rice!!! So I went for the Big Burger, in all fairness it was a Big burger, I was stuffed. Had a big Chang each which tasted rank for some reason, then wandered in to town so Burns and Pat could get a cornetto, saw the campest looking guy on an advert board posing with a bag or crisps so had to get a photo. Went back to the Irsih bar for more pool and drinks, I didn't fancy a Chang after the last one so ended up having a long-island-ice-tea, talk about the gayest drink you've ever seen, they even shoved a pink flower in the top. Me and coops won the pool, again, so we had a few games of table football as well.

Had to get the taxi to Hat-Yai at 6:50am. Was rather crampe, I ended up having to tie my shirt round my head to use it as a pillow because the driver was a nutter and I kept smashing my head against the window. Felt sorry for Helen and especially Burns as they were both stuck up the front with the driver smoking in their face. Burns didn't actually have a seat, just one of those arm rests to sit on and there was a TV directly above his head that he kept smashing into. Stopped off on the way and got a couple of cartons of chocolate milk, as well as some little things that I thought were sausage rolls but turned out to be raisins in sweet pastry. Finally arrived in Hat-Yai and the driver just dumped us off in the middle of a random road, so we spent a few minutes in the intense heat struggling to find our bearings before finding a Hostel listed in the lonely planet. This place was a complete dump! but it was only 90 baht each for the night so we stayed anyway. Started to wander around the city, instantly decided I didn't really like it, there's something about the layout when everything is in blocks, it seems claustophobic and boring. Just stroled around all afternoon looking in markets and shops, sat down at the nicest place we could find and decided to book a Taxi-Ferry to Langkawi in Malaysia. Spent the evening in a bar that had a band playing live music which was pretty good. We all ordered food there, mine Helen's and Burns' arrived farily quickly, I had the massaman, good way to finish in Thailand. Helen had a fried fish sandwich, after a little probing it turned out it was a salmon baguette, so we had a bit of an ordeal explaining to the waitress that it was not what we had ordered. Eventually the fish sandwich arrived, but Laura's and Pat's food had still not been served so when they served Laura a tiny plate of spaghetti instead of Taglitelli with Pesto we all kind of laughed a little and spent another 10 minutes explaining the differences between the pastas. We could think of nothing else to do in the city later so we went to the nearest internet cafe as it was so cheap and all had a disasterous time trying to upload photos. Mine failed 3 times and I spent 1 hour tagging and naming previous photos which didn't work. After 2 hours I managed to upload some photos. Got back to the room to sleep and found out the whole room stank of s***, I struggled to sleep because I was literally gagging on every breath!

Had to get up early again, another 6am-er! Got the taxi to the pier, i'd just found a comfy position to sit in as we arrived, typical. Got on the ferry and sat down, a few tiny cockroaches rushing around but nothing that bothered anyone except helen. The TV turned on, it was some kind of Malaysian Hits show. It showed nothing but cheesy love songs with the most rediculous videos that always seemed to involve a guy who was with a woman, and some other woman trying to ruin the relationship to get the guy for herself. It kept us all entertained for a while trying to work out the storie for each vid. Arrived in Langkawi and got a taxi to the cheap part of the island. Spent a little while wandering around to random resorts trying to find a good price, we'd worked out that between 5 and 6 ringgit was about a quid and everything seemed a bit more expensive. And a hostel called Shirin we met 2 danish girls that were also looking for accomodation and they asked us not to use the room they had saved at the gecko inn. Me and the lads went off to find ourselves a deal, but couldn't find anything cheap, when we got back to Shirin the girls had sorted it all out for us. 85 rm between the 5 of us. Turns out that the two Danish girls wanted that room as well and now hated Helen and Coops for 'stealing' it. Went for a walk down the beach and found a place called Oasis that did really nice baguettes and steak sandwiches. Played pool afterwards, Me and Coops spanked Pat and Helen, and I have to say I made the best shot ever, cutting a ball from right near the corner pocket back into the middle, and cleared up like 6 balls and then the black. Walked further down the beach and found a black rock to lay on, so we all had a bit of a snooze, we are all turning into the laziest bunch of people ever, we have naps every day! Wandered back down the road to the hostel, found a sign for Pizza Baiken! In the evening we went to the best night market for food with a Canadian couple we met at the hostel. There were burgers for 1 rm, thats 20p!!! 3 spring rolls for 1 rm and Roti for 2rm, so we were all stuffed for around 80p! Went back to the hostel and chatted with the Candadian's and the woman that runs the hostel, who sorted us out with free beers.
