hey again all. so i finally changed the title of our page as chris is now a fully fledged, perfectly ingratiated member of the team! besides his snoring that is! to which ive already given him a complex! so kathryn please feel free to give him a mention from now on as it is his site too! sadly we're still in the hostel as our house hunting hasn't gone well. moved to an 8 bed dorm tho which is slightly better. we spent the entire day asleep today (got up at about half 5pm) as we had a pretty hardcore night last night! Melbourne night scene is awesome!! Hence missed the wonderful MCG (Melbourne cricket ground.. even the name is boring! whoever was commissioned to come up with that must have had the creative genius of Luke's festering shoes!) so we're gonna head down the tomorrow... hopefully. the prospect of work still looms but we're keenly avoiding the subject as much as possible at the mo. So any donations will be most welcome! its getting late and i've been up for 4 and a half hours already! my squeaky bunk bed awaits! bye for now

Hello all Started to get settled in Melbourne now, it takes sometime getting used to the area. We keep getting lost on the trams, think we have nearly covered the whole of Melbounre. We have'nt been that productive as yet, as we are just sorting out the boring stuff at the moment. Got a new oz phone yesterday, its fairly cheap to txt so thats cool, here is my new number 0410940398.

We are looking at an apartment today, really really excited as I think we might been really impressed. It's been really difficult to find some short term accomadation, and this property is about double the price of the others, although is $10 a week cheaper than the hostel. Difficult to understand I know but when there's 4 of us (Five when stu gets here) it works out to be much cheaper. The adverstisement states a deluxe apartment, hoping for something good. Time will tell.

The summer has offically finished here, although now its a good temp. Its 27 degrees today, very much like our summer. I'm sooo excited about tomorrow as we are going to watch the cricket at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground). I'm going to be in my element, Luke and Chris are up for it although Laj is'nt totally enthused, but we are dragging him along anyway. Its a bargain only $6. (I don't like cricket, I love it!!!!) ohhhhhhh

G'Day Jon - Glad you've arrived in Oz safely - it looks as if you've had a fabulous time so far - good on you!!!! I'm so envious of where you are now (!!!) wish I was back there as well - George and I think it's the best ever place in the whole wide world!!!!!! Anyway, to get you into practice at the bars in Oz (!) a good beer to ask for is Carlton Draught (!) - George managed to sink a few stubbies (that's what they call bottles !) while we were there!!!! And remember, if you ask for "chips" you'll get "crisps"; "lollies" are "sweets"; and be very careful if you need to buy a pair of flip-flops - they're called "thongs"!!!!!
