Day 16
We've had the aircon set on 17 degrease since arrival and the apartment is cool all the time so no problems sleeping.
Forgot to mention Ryan had his pocket picked last night and lost cash and credit cards and we're now extremely paranoid about the slippery gypsies.
We decided it was a good idea to organise transport to San Sebastián for tomorrow so we headed off to Barcelona Sants which in the largest station in the city. Looking forward to drinking wine and eating tapas on the train we quickly found out that all seats have been sold out because of the running of the bulls festival in Pamplona which on good advice we've decided to avoid.
With a little stress and running around we've booked bus tickets to San Sebastián but it's a 7 hour drive so not thrilled about it.
It's a really hot day and the humidity is in the 90s. We caught a taxi across town to check out La Sagrada Familia which a world famous basilica designed by Architect Antoni Gaudi. It's impossible to describe in words so unless you're planning on a visit check it out on YouTube, it will blow you mind! I bought some original street art by a local artist that I thought best represented the current state of the basilica in an abstract way. La Sagrada Familia remains under construction scheduled for completion 2026. It is the longest running construction project on record starting in the early 1900's.
I spent the afternoon relaxing in the apartment trying to catch up on some rest. Ryan caught up with his new friend who we later went out for dinner with.
We had sangria at a small bar called La Whiskeria until part of the floor collapsed and we were evacuated from the building.
Not the most active of days but a funny end to the night!

Mum Sounds like you are having a great time, but are starting to look forward to coming home. Xx
Mum Hope you guys haven't put on weight, and caused the floor to collapse!
Renée Glad you were as wowed as I was by La Sagride Familia - it reminded me of childhood dreams. Can't believe the floor fell in - holy crap!
