Hey everyone
Rotorua is famous for the hot water pools, we went to the polynesian spa which was made up of lots of these pools. It was heaven sitting in big pools which felt like hot baths the tempertaure ranged form 36 to 44 degrees! While we were relaxing we could look over the Rotorua lakes and take in the pretty views. The pools were all naturaly heated by the region's thin crust in the earth but it makes a smell like rotten eggs which was the only let down even though after a while you got used to it.
In the evening we went to see a maori culture show, which involved a chant, dance, song and stories, it was very entertaining and scary at times. We got to learn how the maori's lived life in the olden days. It finished up with a hangi feast which to us looked like a big roast dinner but only cooked under ground so we stuffed our faces, it tasted great!
