Hi

We arrived in Kaitaia and our hostel was amazing we were the only ones there so we could watch TV and cook when we liked. The next day we booked a trip to see the ninety mile beach, we got picked up in the morning by a coach which drove us to the ninety mile beach and drove us on the beach! It was huge just miles and miles of golden sand. We stopped off to take pictures and saw the remains of cars that had sunk in the sand, this was quite worrying! We than drove to the sand dunes where we got to sledge down them, it was so much fun until we reached the bottom and were covered in sand. Next we went to see the cape region (lighthouse) where we could see the tasman sea and pacific sea joining togeather which looked incredible. For lunch we went down to another beach where we got to eat scones and snacks. After lunch we went to rarawa beach, this had pure white sand and from far away it looked like snow which was interesting to see. It was a great day out but we felt like we were on an OAP trip as we were the youngest on the bus!
