We wanted to see the Patronas Towers and the Kuala Lumpur tower today. We were going to get the bus but couldn't work out how it worked to decided to walk. It was quite a way but worth it because we could stop at things along the way and see the city properly. When we came across a shopping centre which had Debenhams and Mango in it we were straight in there.
They had western things!! There was a department store where we had another sprits of perfume and I bought a couple of bras. We then carried on walking to the towers because someone had told us we needed to get there early to be given a ticket and a time to go back and go to the top.
We found the Patronas towers first which we thought were free to go up but they turned out to be £8. We decided to just go to the top of the Kuala Lumpur tower because it was higher but we thought we would have a look in the bottom to see how posh it was.
Well I was shocked when we got inside. It was the best shopping centre I have ever been in! There were all the designer shops like Prada, Jimmy Choos, Tiffany & Co., etc. We spent hours in there looking around all the shops, mostly the ones we could actually afford though like Top Shop and Dorothy Perkins. I normally hate window shopping because I want to buy everything but it was great seeing normal fashions again and imagining what I can buy when I get home and have money again! We went into Tiffany & Co. and Carm almost bought a ring! It was gorgeous but she decided to wait until she got to the end of her trip in New York to check she could still afford it then.
The shopping centre wasn't only great for shopping it was also great for food. There were so many little cafes that sold amazing looking cakes. We ended up having a chocolate fondue together which Id always wanted to have. There were also stalls with the most amazing cupcakes and ice creams.
On the walk back to the hostel we came across another amazing shopping centre where we went on a search for some Sushi. They didn't have any but we decided to go back there tomorrow. The rest of the night was spent searching for Little India that only a few Malays seemed to know about so we didn't find it in the end. Instead we went to China Town and shared a pork sizzler which was really nice. After all that walking though I really needed to sleep.

Gran Wow!... back to materialism with a vengeance! Did I read it rightly... that Carm will be going to New York later on her trip? Made me wonder how long SHE'S going to be away from home, how old she is, and what she'll be doing afterwards. Nosey, aren't I :) ?
