Lucy & Cherise's Big Adventure
In the Copa...Copacabana...lalala. No, not really the one in the song. Bolivian version of a seaside resort on the shores of lake titicaca. Very chilled small town.. enjoyed the local night life and the time we got back to the hostel - the key had changed shape and wouldnt fit into the key hole - not our fault of course. Took a boat trip to the island of Isla del Sol - only 4000 inhabitants. Saw the rock that was supposed to be in the form of a puma (what lake titicaca was named after ..titi=puma; caca=rock). Meant to be a huge energy source although didnt quite get the vibe! Walked 3 hours to the other side of the island where we stayed in a hostel overlooking the lake. Tranquil it certainly was..bed at 9pm cos nothing else to do! Next morning - tranquil certainly not... went to the harbour to catch our boat and found ourselves in the midst of a storm! Small local fishing boats - already smashed to pieces. After few hours of waiting for the storm to pass got a boat back to the mainland!!!!
