Up and packed bright and early, we went to the station. We got on the double decker train to Ashfield to meet Kathy, who I had met in Prague, for her to drive us up to the Blue Mountains. She took us up to Katoomba, which took over an hour, which allowed us time to catch up. Rain again!! So we decided to embrace the water and visit the Sea Life aquarium on the harbour. Again it was absolutely packed with families and we had to queue to look into the tanks. At dinner we decided on sushi. However each piece was so big, it took several bites to finish.

RAIN!!!! Due to the weather - we just visited a few book shops and read. Yuck! But at least we found a dominos pizza!

Today we went to the zoo! It over looks the bay on the opposite side to the opera house. We took the ferry and realised that we would be fighting the crowds due to the schools being on holiday. There were so many people!! The animals were interesting, especially the enclosure which allowed you to walk past kangaroos and wallabies. On our way back to the hostel we bought large rolls of sushi and cider and had a party in our room.

We met Kay and walked past the university to Newtown to explore the shops. I found 2 dresses and fell in love with the books shops. We then caught a bus and ended up at Bondi beach where we had tea and cake. The long walks took their toll, and after saying goodbye to Kay, we slept very well!
