We got the ferry to Koh Lanta at about 11am and it took about an hour to get there. As with Phi Phi when we arrived there was someone with a sign with our hotels name on it who took us there in his car. Koh Lanta is much bigger than Phi Phi - it has roads and everything is a lot more spread out. We arrived at our bungalow and were amazed at how lovely and relaxed it was. There were just a handful of bungalows and a cocktail bar and comfy seats. Quite the opposite to the hectic atmosphere on Phi Phi. We dropped our bags off and then headed to the beach (which we could see from our bungalow). The beach was lovely and quiet with only a few other people on it. Unfortunately we could only sunbathe for about 15 minutes as it was too hot, so we went up to one of the beach bars and sat in the shade for the afternoon with some drinks. The barmen came and sat with us and were the friendliest people we've met in thailand. We had a really nice chilled afternoon and went back to the bungalow to read our books on the porch. This evening we had dinner in our hotels little restaurant and decided to stay at the cocktail bar for happy hour. The barman was so friendly we ended up staying all night. He played card games with us and was constantly smiling. We have never been so relaxed in our lives than during our time on Koh Lanta!

This morning our time got even better when I realised they did boiled eggs and toast for breakfast, egg and toast soldiers is my favourite! We had our breakfast and then got a taxi to the ferry. We had to get the ferry back to Phi Phi, and then from there back to Phuket - so about 3 hours in total. We met Nick and Jack at the swimming pool at the golf club and relaxed for the rest of the day.
