25 March 2009 We got our flight today back to Sydney and arrived in at about 4pm. This time instead of being in a dorm in the Base hostel we had our own twin room as we'd booked this back in August when we first planned the trip. It was really nice to be able to unpack our things and not be in a dorm, however we were a little disaspointed to find they'd still given us a bunk bed. 23 March 2009 After a short stopover in Sydney we caught an early flight to Melbourne for a flying visit. We ended up at Avalon airport which is very small and quite far out the city centre which we realised was why the flight was so cheap. We eventually worked out how to organise a shuttle bus to the city centre and were dropped off at our hostel. 21/22 March 2009 This morning we left Byron Bay at 7am for Surf Camp. This is a compulsory stop on Oz Experience as the journey from Byron to Sydney would be too much in one go. We arrived at the camp around lunchtime and were shown to our rooms, very small but ok!. Then it was time for the surf lesson. 18-20 March 2009 We travelled from Noosa to Byron Bay on Wednesday and entered a new state and time zone. The journey took most of the day so when we got there we just chilled out in our room.
