This morning I went to the Botanical Gardens which were great - saw lots of animals and birds and they had a Jaguar enclosure which was great. Went up the outdoor escalator which runs up the side of the Island. Its the longest outdoor escalator in the world apparently. It runs downhill till 10am and then after that it spends the rest of the day going uphill (which is a big bonus because some of thr streets are very steep! Think Bridge street in Bideford!) In the afternoon I took the Peak Tram up to Victoria Peak which is the highest point of the Island. Got some great pics which I'll post soon. The clouds came down whilst I was up there so I didn't do the walk around the Peak itself though.
