hey guys,

We arrived by train around lunch time and check our things into the hotel. Our tour leader knew we were hungry so we made our way to a local resturant. While walking through the streets we were told about the history of Budapest and shown where some intresting museums were.

We arrived at the resurant for lunch. Loz and i were shocked to see how great this place was. It looked like something you would see in Melbourne and the food was just as beautiful. Loz went for the stuffed calamari and i had the Gourmet Burger.!

The next day the group (kane and 4 girls) went to do a bit of shopping in the main square and try some of the food from the beautiful food stalls. Full of potato and sausage we then decided to go on a river cruise to see some of the sights and let the carbs digest. The cruise was fantastic. It is a great way to see a city without walking around!

At dinner we thought it would be a good idea to order a tasting tray of beer shots. One was called The Mama and the other The Papa. Little did we know the the picture on the menu wasn't beer shots it was actual shots of Hungarian Spirits. OMG! Kane had the first one off the Papa tray and was breathing fire for the rest of the night!! and Loz sipped on here shots pretenting they tasted good! Imagine Metho with desiel in your guts!!!

Budapest was great to see. A little too busy for us but some of the best food we have had on the trip.
