hi guys,
just a quick update.
we finished our morocco tour 3 days ago and are just seeing the sights of berlin. Morocco was fantastic. we had a great group 5 girls and Kane! our tour guide was great and he tought us so much of the history morocco has. The town and villages we visited were like stepping into a time machiene with donkeys carting all the heavy gear and sheppards leading their sheep through the dry and empty paddocks.
We tryed all the local cuisine which included bread, bread and bread oh, and also tarjine which is like a hot pot with chicken, lamb or beef. Loz's favorite was beef tarjine with prunes and of course BREAD! They drink alot of mint tea whch was enjoyed by everyone in the group.
our camel ride in the sahara desert will be something we will never forget and definatly the most sore we will ever be! each marjor city of morocco has an 'old' and a 'new' city. the old city is called a medina and is surrounded by the palace walls that go for km's. the medina is definatly a fun place to explore and you could easily get lost without a guide. the locals sell all of their home grown food, bread, rugs, leather goods and many more things. it is similar to a massive market amoungst walls and small allyways.
we have so many photos and storys to tell you guys but it will have to wait till we are home.
Berlin has been great. it may be one of our favourite citys so far. we enjoyed another bike tour of the city yesterday and tried some more local food. Doner Kebabs have been one of our favorites. similar to a kebab back home but 3 times the size!! we met our new group last night and we are off to poland today on a 9hr train ride!
oh yea, kane is the only boy on this tour again. 4 girls and kane!!!
