Our last full day in Singapore so we want to visit the Gardens by the Bay on the Marina. We get the tube from the hostel for $1.60 and arrive at the Bayfront. They have these Superficial Tree's in the garden which light up at night - due to the weather (it was ever so slightly spitting with rain) they shut the Skywalk so we couldn't walk across the Superficial Tree Grove. There is a huge indoor waterfall in one of the domes but it costs $12 each to get in.... ...

Happy Chinese New Year!! It's the year of the monkey!! We decide that whilst we are in an Asia country slap bang in the middle of Chinese New Year that it would be rude if we didn't go and see any of the festivities! First stop was Chinatown for the midnight celebrations on the 7th February. The streets were full of laterns and even more full of people! The streets were rammed!! We paid our driver 400,000 rupieh (20 GBP) to drive us round all day. We get him to drive us over to Tanah Lot Temple, which is a temple on a little island next to the sea. There were what I assumed to be monks? asking people to donate money so they could stick rice and holy water to their foreheads..... we didn't fancy that! It was super hot so we didn't stay too long and we wanted to get across to our next destination which was an hour away.... UBUD - SACRED ...

We're back in Bali after a horrible 3 and a half hour boat ride from the Gili Islands to Kuta! We go for a walk along Kuta Beach because the sun has decided to come back out and play, finally!! We've landed on Gili Air, Indonesia!! Ready to do some scuba diving with Manta Dive and hopefully see some Manta Rays!!! Fingers crossed!!! Stu is starting his Advanced Open Water Course, doing Deep, Nav, Night, Drift and Buoyancy specialities! Me and Sam go off to Manta Point as our first fun dive! Really nice dive, no Manta Rays but we did see Blue Spotted Sting Ray, Baby Whitetip Reef Sharks, Octopuses and plenty of marine life! Over the next couple of day...
