One week later and everything seems to be going as well as possible, I have finally worked out the 'gaucho technique', which is that there is not one, they ride exactly the same way as us, I just had not mastered cantering however having adjusted my stirrups have finally got it! Otherwise the routine continues, very relaxed with trips to the town and we have been planting some grass for next year so more tractors. Unfortunately I will be leaving in about a week and going to another flat farm.
I am finally talking more with Matty and Jose (helper) as they were quite quiet in my first week. As for Jose the boss he is a brilliant bloke although when asked a simple question does seem to enjoy spending half an hour giving you about five life lessons. Tonight we are off to shoot a boar hopefully as there are tracks all over the place. If it's that one then its built like a bungalow and would be amazing to get. Frankly if you had money and bought yourself an internet connection and maybe a sky box you could retire out here in peace and just ride horses for the rest of your life, its really quite staggering how little you worry about anything when your out here. Luz has told me that Mum has sent boxloads of stuff so returning to BA will be really nice.
