So the bags are packed... and the luggage in the picture is it! We are doing lots of internal flights in the US, and didn't like the thought of being charged for checking in luggage. So it seemed a great chance to try our hand at being a backpacking family. We each have one bag, and are using compression cells to make sure we still have room to collect things en route.

We have an early start in the morning as we are driving up to Auckland to catch our night flight, so we'll be getting an early night tonight... Yeah right!!!
