Lovewells vs The World
I'm still not sure about how I feel on spending time in beautiful Paris at Disneyland... But this is a family holiday so we try to accommodate a bit of what everyone would love to see...so for the kids sake, Disney it was. We got lucky again, clearly picking the right day as there was no queue to get in, most rides had a 5 minute ( or less) wait, and the Christmas theme was still in place, so the decorations were spectacular. Granted it was a little chilly, but it wasn't wet, and The cold didn't deter us, we left when the park closed at 7pm. We had a lot of fun on the rides and exploring the park, and my favourite thing was seeing the unbridled joy in my children's faces when they watched the parade - that's what "the happiest place on earth" is all about. I'll let them tell you more about their day... Disneyland, hooray! To start off with we took a double decker train to Disneyland, bought our tickets in one minute and then rushed into the park. We did 2 rides, Buzz light year and Orbitron before I went on my first roller coaster.... The Space Mountain! When I saw the sign saying there were 360 degree loops, sudden drops, and sharp corners, I thought "oh no" but I did it anyway. We were "blasted" in to space by a cannon and all around us at the top were... I didn't know, because my eyes were closed until the end. We did a Star Wars simulator, and then guess what I did... Space Mountain again! This time I saw a moon, and promptly afterwards had the first loop. I then drove a 1950's car of the future, and no points for guessing what I did next. Finally I did Space Mountain with my eyes open, and moons and planets surrounded me, until the super nova. I also did the Indiana Jones In The Temple of Doom ride, more 360 loops hooray! I was in a mining cart on rickety rail, and we went underground. I also did the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, with mum. We went around on boats peacefully, until the first drop. The drops were pretty small, but since mum and I were at the front, we got splashed! I also did the haunted house ride with dad and there were some scary skeletons. At the end a skeleton was hanging onto our seat. My favourite thing was space mountain, but All together Disneyland was great fun even though it was mostly in French. Gemma I was excited about going to Disneyland but I didn't know what to expect. We travelled by train to get there on a double decker train. I loved the first thing I saw, which was the parade, and it was Christmas theme so that was even better. I went on the Orbitron, autopia, dumbos circus train, buzz light years laser strike, dumbo the flying elephant, spinning teacups, it's a small world and more. Big thunder mountain was closed so we couldn't do the steam boat trip, but we did do other things like the Disney story lands boat trip. I got a hologram postcard as a souvenir. When the park closed it snowed! I liked Disneyland a lot and My favourite thing was the Star Wars Starspeeder 3000 simulator that was awesome, and also the spinning teacups. At the end we went back on the train, home to our hotel, and had French McDonald's for tea. Daniel
