Today we went to Universal studios, but Dad stayed home and slept off his jet lag. It was awesome. Gemma did every ride except for the rip rocket (way too scary) and the terminator (closed). Mum and Daniel did all except for 3.
Our favourite rides were Jimmy Fallons tonight show ride through New York, ET, and Men in Black. Gemma's favourite was Harry Potters escape from gringotts which was an indoor roller coaster. But all the rides were really clever. They each had shows that started when you were waiting in line, so you didn't notice that you were waiting. The only ones we had to wait for really were transformers, and the mummy so it was really good.
It was HOT! As in 33 degrees and humid, so we cooled off in the curious George water playground in the middle of the day. We got soaked but our clothes dried in minutes!
The best highlight of the day was diagon alley in Harry Potter world. It was amazing! We chose Wands and then started learning spells which actually made things work: making rain, turning lights on, even levitating a quill! It was so cool. We ate butter beer ice cream (delicious) and enjoyed watching the dragon guarding gringotts bank breathing real fire! If you ever get to visit diagon alley, do it!
After a 13 hour day of melting we got back to the apartment and went for a swim at 10pm, just like Singapore it is the best time to cool off and relax. Then we collapsed into our comfy beds and crashed. Literally for Daniel who fell out of his!
