What to say, I know it been ages since I’ve updated this – things always seem to be busy and time is a luxury!! Anyway, things going well – I am now in a place called Wanaka in New Zealand (South Island), really pretty little place with a beautiful lake front – just watched the sun set on a beautiful day, note it has pretty much been the first properly nice day in NZ!! Anyway, upon leaving Brisbane I speant my last few days in Australia in Sydney – I did a day trip to the Blue Mountains which was stunning and spent a day at Palm beach aka Summer Bay, I’m sad I know, besides the Home & Away thing it is actually a truely stunning beach and worth the trip for sure!! You’ll be able to see from the pics!
So, I flew into a slightly windswept and wet Christchurch last Thursday !! Didn’t really find too much going on there but thats probably just me! Wasn’t there for too long before we were whisked off for day one of the Kiwi Experience bus – a fast and windy trek across to the coast to meet the main bus and then stopping in a tiny place called Westport – quiet! We have then made our way along the west coast of the Soth Island bumping into many familiar faces along the way (mainly from Oz – the travellers world is a small and well trodden world!) Was disappointed that I couldn’t do my scenic helicopter flight over Franz Joseph glacier yesterday but the weather was too bad and copters couldn’t see what was going on because of the low lying cloud – of course, today was beautifully clear but was leaving early!! Got soem beautiful pictures and glad I at least saw Franz and Fox glaciers, allbeit from the ground!!
Queenstown, East Coast and onto North Island this week!! xx
