Aloha!!! Here we sit, waiting to board our flight home- very sad to be leaving this beautiful island. I left my heart in SF, but Hawaii has captivated us all and we are already planning a return trip. The people are so welcoming, the scenery spectacular, the food delicious ...and the Mai Tais and other cocktails irresistible...and the water and beach so gorgeous! Our trip to the SS Arizona memorial yesterday was just breathtaking...it is an amazing experience and quite an emotional place just to be. A very special part of the trip for me.
We are looking forward to seeing you all - and boring you silly with our photos, videos and stories but also wish we could stay here a few more days - Andrew is yet to spot Steve McGarrett and Grace has not quite mastered the hula just yet!
We did travel to the airport in style...a stretch limo that just about matched our trip to Sydney airport with Stef.
So, see you all soon...my highlight of the trip...so many, but dinner at The Franciscan, almost wetting my pants laughing at Andrew on his first rollercoaster, the light show at Disneyland and the SS Arizona are right up there. My only disappointments were that David Cassidy is playing Vegas in May so we missed him by a month!!! and that Splash Mountain was closed for maintenance in Disneyland.
Not bad for three weeks of a busy travel schedule...
