Excursion day to the islands, not to sure what we expected really......... We are duly picked up and transferred to Ao Nang beach, Krabi to board our speedboat. Upon arrival there are hundreds of people lined up and stickered ( this appears to be the main form of communication, you get slapped with a coloured sticker and just follow your colour!) awaiting embarkment. Eventually we board the boat and take a seat, we have a tour guide called Mr Joe King (ha ha). a...

So we leave Koh Pang-an by ferry with a rather random boat change at Ko Samoi. You walk a gang plank between boats in amongst pandemonium. We hoped every one got on board because there was little direction or communication, the westerners figure it out as we go along! From the ferry we are squeezed in to a minibus (people carrier size!) and start the journey towards Krabi. A 3 hour journey if you are doing 80mph was completed in time, not to our amusement....Agai...

Now to head south.... Night train that happened to be 2 hours late and managed to hit a car at a country crossing... I'm sure the car didn't look; as probably everyday it crosses at the same time and usually there isn't a train coming!!! The ironic thing is that the train reversed so that it could 'deal' with the incident so all of us passengers saw the carnage!!!! We are optimistic that the driver got out though because within 30 mins or so we were off again!!!...

Another day, another adventure! Today direct from the sleeper train from Chaing Mai we disembark at AYUTTHYA station. It's 5am so we spend the next hour fending off TUK TUK men and people watch until it's light enough for us to walk 6:30am we wander into the BAAN EVE and set about sleeping on our bags waiting for a noon check in. Chiang Mai and jungle trek After a night chugging along on the sleeper train we arrived in Chiang Mai and were picked up by our car!!! We were taken to the office for a briefing on our jungle trek!!! We listened to Mr Pon and were given a list of things to take. He also gave us a map of Chiang Mai and some tips on what to see.
