The end of our safari adventure and we wait at the safari lodge for Lee-ann to collect us, a stay with her and her children for a few days. I was excited because it would be a friendly face I hadn't seen for 7 years!! A few days catch up with her children who had done 7 years growing and James who I had never met. I also was excited to introduce Sarah to them. The few days turned into 4 amazing days with an amazing family. They had a 2 day holiday from school because of a Jewish celebration. We chatted, laughed, ate well and felt human again cleaning our clothes and enjoying home comforts, was introduced to nespresso coffee (getting one of those on my return to England!!) and watched premiership football and US open tennis! Thanks to Lee Ann we were also able to learn about her city; we went to the stadium used for the 2010 World Cup, drove around the different areas, some a little scary! We went to some amazing shopping malls (Sarah loves a good shop!), visited her schools even though they were closed (Lee Ann has the power!) and went to bird park for the day, in the most amazing area with a shopping mall that gives you the illusion of being outside but not!!! We also saw Mandela bridge and a massive statue of him at the Stanton mall. On the last day we took Ellie and James to the cinema to watch Minions (a third of the price of UK!) and had some lunch before returning to cook the family a beef roast dinner. Lauren the eldest daughter returned from a few days away with her boyfriend joined our last supper and we packed up. They got themselves ready to school as we prepared to move on to Cape Town. Not forgetting the football on tv but we won't mention the score!!! A truly great time with a fabulous family, but the adventures need to continue!!!
