*MAYA*
The day started off with the boys sneaking away for their boarding trip outside of Tokyo at a cringe worthy time of 6:10am. All was good though because us girls were snug as a bug zzzzz'ing.
After our little sleep in we slowing made our way to Takes***a street. We had it all down packed with no navigation problemos! Upon arrival, a breakfast of champions was in order - crepes. Crepes of the chocolate, custard, banana and brownie sort. Getting so stuck in to them we were probably the definition of a liability, holding back the already hectic human traffic going down the street. 15 minutes into walking we (along with our food babies) regrouped at Starbucks to plan the day.
Deciding to tackle Takes***a street again, we came across some cool/f**king weird things. The excessively blinged up cat jumpers stuck in my mind. Ash found glue for your school girl stockings and even glue to hold up your eyelids. Lou found fluffy items for days. Hats, ear muffs, socks, you name it! Making it back to the top of the street it was time to go back down but around the other side. The street food we encountered looked and smelt AMAZING. Oh no - we were hungry again. Ash located us the most famous gyoza restaurant in town. We were so down. Getting there we realised there was going to be a catch, a horrendous line. 10minutes past, 20, 30, 40...they were only letting in two people at a time. Looking in on everyone eating, we were giving them daggers. One particular lady caught my evil eye but seriously lady, who the heck uses a tooth pick, gets out their wallet to pay but then only orders more food! When we finally got in and ordered, the gyoza's were practically inhaled. 24 between the three of us.
The boys had a successful first day on the mountain. First bullet train trip and Blake's first time attempting to snowboard. All 3 boys walked away injury free. Blake may be a bit sore tomorrow after a few good stacks.
What followed was a wee little shop. So peaceful without the boys and the usual look of pain on their faces whenever we walk into a crowed shop. The day ended as it began - with full bellies. After the boys got back we all went to a neat little curry place Lou picked out then slowly rolled back to the accom with a quick ice cream pit stop.
