This was the second jungle stop of our trip, located in the Shangri La logde just outside Tena, based on the Napo river and set in the rainforrest. The location of this lodge was amazing and the views from our window were stunning.Take a look at some of the hundreds of pictures I took.
Like all lodges of this type in Ecador, it wasn´t plush but it did have electricity, it was the jungle after all! In fact going to bed did prove challenging at times with some of the huge creepy crawlies around but of course none of them were harmful, they were just a bit bigger than we are used to seeing.
Activites here included my first (of many) Salsa lessons, Canyoning, climbing waterfalls and errrr eating ants (yes you did read that right, from the confirmed non red meat eater!) ...............and also the best white water rafting EVER along the Napo river, which included finding a canyon half way along the river which was beautiful and lunch on the set from LOST!
