Last night met my tour group, 2 Norweigens, one British guy one girl, one canadian guy, meeee!! and the tour leader whose frm Peru. I am sooo old compared to all of them with the average age being a teeny 23!!!!!

Today we set off for our first detination to Ilha Grande (aka paradise)

It took 6 hours to get here, 2 and a half by bus and the rest by a rickety old boat, as we sailed along the scenery was amazing with lots of deserted islands with luxury huts on them and tons of palm trees. the place is amazing, its quiet with crystal clear blue water and white sand! the suprising thing is that its just a back packers island and all the hotels and beer are dirt cheap (40p a pint), why it isn`t covered in cheesy hotels I have no idea! but luckily for me it isnt and I would happily go back there at any time!

The next day, we all took an hours boat ride to thé other side of the island and after a 30 minute hike discovered THE most beautiful and secluded beach (Lopez mendez beach)- there is nothing there apart from golden sand, clear water that is as hot as the air (like a bath) and a little man selling water. The surf here was great and so spend the days falling on my bum in some vague attempt to stand up right :)
