After last night's adventure in Penang's 'Red Garden' Night Market where we sampled prawn fritters, chicken satay and dim sum, we woke bright and early and after breakie headed to Komtar to catch the bus to Penang Hill. We had to guess on the time, as no time tables(!), but luckily only had to wait half an hour. We arrived at the lower station of the funicular railway at about 12.30pm only to find out the tickets up to Penang's highest point had sold out until ...

We started Saturday bright and early and trekked with our bags down to the pier, stopping en-route for breakfast of toast, freshly squeezed OJ, coffee and Muesli, fruit and yoghurt, whilst Sarah took the opportunity to rest from feeling a bit queezy (thanks to the dreaded malaria tablets!). We arrived at the ferry in time for the 9am departure and found it very hot and busy. The journey to Krabi took a little over an hour and a half and we were in a slight panic...
