This morning we were up, refreshed and enjoying fruit, yoghurt, muesli and toast for breakfast at 9.00am. We boarded the bus and had a brief tour of Valdivia, stopping by the river to view the fat sea lions and the fruit and fish market before we headed down to Puerto Montt.
We arrived in the city at around 1.00pm and whilst most people went for lunch, we, along with Bella, wandered the shops and fish market before joining the others to browse the handicraft market. After a few cheap jewellery purchases we got back on the bus around 3.30pm and made the 30 minute journey into the more picturesque town of Puerto Varas. We checked into the hostel and headed straight out for a sandwich and a coffee. We then wandered the town, heading along the short pier for some photos of the lake, overlooked by 3 volcanoes - one as far away as Argentina.
We returned to the hostel around 6.30pm and dolled up ready for a meal, only to find the others weren't hungry and it would just be the 3 of us eating! We headed out alone and enjoyed a lovely meal of chicken supreme and mash (Sarah) and smoked salmon caesar salad (Laura), washed down with a bottle of Vino! We returned to the hostel, armed with couple more bottles of Chile's finest. We enjoyed a drunken, gossipy night with the group before passing out around 3.00am!
