I am in Singapore!

Got here pretty late on Thursday night - I was stressing the hostel wouldn't be open and I wouldn't be able to get in, but it was all fine - everything in Singapore seems to go on through the night! Flight was delayed by about an hour or so - with us sitting on the plane waiting to go - when we started to pull out of the terminal the first time - on time - there was a massive bang from somewhere in the plane... so we had to go back in n get checked out, but it was all fine. The pilot did explain what had happened, but it confused me!

Flight from Darwin was 4 hours. And now I am only 7 hours ahead of the UK. Don't think Thailand changes though - I fly there this evening to meet the girls! Just a little but excited! Haha. Was very sad to leave Aussie land though - I thought I was going to cry! But it's ok cos I'm going back wooo!

Anyway, hostel I'm in is nice - in the Little India district which is pretty cool. Met a couple of guys who I've been hanging out with for the last couple of days. Ivor is from Scotland but lived in New Zealand for the last 15 years - he's had a trip home and is doing a bit of travelling before NZ. And Fraser who has done a couple of months in Thailand and is now heading to Oz for a month or so.

So, the first day I was on my lonesome so I had a wander round the city - the CBD, Little India, China Town, went in a couple of museums and saw the Merlion Statue, went down to the harbour front etc etc. Yesterday the three of us went to the zoo. Pretty good! And then a wander around the Arab Quarter which was really cool. Loads of sheesha bars and stuff (how ever you spell it!) Today me and Fraser are off to Sentosa - a little touristy island - for some sun! It's humid and like 36 degrees, hot hot.

On a side note - there are NO white people here, everyone is Asian, and as a white blonde, I am getting stared at A LOT! Haha. Fraser and Ivor are my entourage!

So yeah meet the girls near Koh San Road tonight! WOOOOO!x
