Back in Brisbane again! We spent last weekend at a lovely hostel in the West End called Somewhere to stay, but after a few days we realized it was way too quiet for us. We had a lovely room though, and a balcony which overlooked the "Brisbane Eye" and the Skyline which was all lit up at night. We spent the weekend just relaxing really and looking for a new hostel to stay in, plus me chatting to Amy for ages on the phone too!! xx

So now we are at Brisbane Central Backpackers and really like it here. We have moved into our 'pit' as we call it, which involves 30 beds and 3 fans which don't even spin round! Don't think I've really slept much since being here as it is absolutely baking hot at night!! But the hostel has something different going on every night of the week which is good J We've met some really nice people here too.

Some friends that we met in Laos came and stayed with us for a few days this week which was really nice. Nothing changed with Tom and Captain Fun!! Haha We went out to a bar in town, after the free comedy night at the hostel. We had a funny night overall and was really fun to meet them again and hear their tales!

Then Sarah and Dan arrived at out hostel and we met up with Curt as he's in the area too! We had a very civilized Starbucks date and laughed at Curt's latest stories, obviously none can be put on here! Such a lad!!

Then yesterday a few of us went to a picnic and alcohol session in a local park which turned messy after card games and I have never game!! Haha Think all the boys ended up much worse than the boys, as they were all hanging so badly today and the girls were fine!! Haha Jaton and Lawrence have arrived here today, so will we probably spend tonight with them at the bar with happy hour! Can't be bad!!

Me and Vic start our job tomorrow which is exciting! We have 2 hours a day for the week handing out flyers for a shop in the City - it's not much, but it will tie us over for the time being at least. My plan is to apply for loads of jobs this week, and then next week I hopefully will have something coming my way.

It's Australia Day this Thursday so we will definitely be doing something exciting for that….not sure what yet though!
