Day 59-62 We travelled through the night from the 24th-25th and arrived at 0500 in Airlie Beach. We slept in the hallway of our hostel as the reception did not open until 0700. When the reception was opened we really wanted a bed so we could go to sleep; but a room was not ready until 1230. Day57-58 We arrived in Rockhampton around 1830 and was collected from the train station by our hostel. When we arrived we didn't think too much of it; the room wasn't very nice either. We were staying in Rockhampton as we wanted to go over to Great Keppel Island for a few days. Although 1 hostel had closed down and the other was still being renovated so we were unable to go. Day 54-55 We arrived back from Fraser Island around 1730 and decided to book another night at Hervey Bay. The following day we decided to stay around the hostel. We played tennis for about 2 hours. After getting too hot we decided to head into the pool and the jacuzzi. We then went to the shops to have a look around but there wasn't much there. We then chilled out for the evening and really enjoyed our fry up for dinner, our first since being in Australia.

Day 53-54 Today we had our trip to Fraser Island. We were picked up at 8am by our 'Unimob' (this is an ex-military vehicle) and everyone laughed as it turned up. We boarded the ferry and we were on Fraser Island in about 40 minutes. Our first impressions were WOW! We were informed by our guide 'Captain Kirk' that it was the largest sand island in the world and didn't we know it once we started driving as we bounced everywhere. Day 51-52 Due to our sleepless night we plucked up the courage to ask to change rooms. Once we'd swapped rooms we took a walk along Noosa National Park. We walked past Main Beach through to Little Cove and then took some photos at the Witches Cauldron Lookout. We stopped to chill out at Tea Tree Bay, before heading off upto Dolphin Point.
