Hey all just a quick message, arrived in Hanoi yesterday evening...it is absolutely mental! I have never seen so many motor bikes or heard so much beeping in my life...you have to walk into the road and hope for the best to cross the road!

Oh and just our luck, our first day here is a holiday and everywhere is shut so spent most of the day walking round sweating our asses off in a smog filled cauldron of crazy people! Off to Ha Long Bay tomorrow for a 2 night, 3 day trip on a nice boat. Will be great to get to the coast at last but there is a rumor of a Typhoon cooming our way which could either cut the trip short or strand us on the island (don't worry they get close to 11 over the next 2 months and all are pretty minor!).
