G’day Mate!!
We arrived in Melbourne on 23rd Afternoon. Arrived at our hostel Urban Central, it is in a great location in the business district and our room is a good size with an en suite! We had to do our first shop as we now have to cook our own food as it is very expensive to eat out in Oz, not like Thailand £3 for a 2 Course meal!!! That evening we checked out Federation Square and walked along the riverside which has really nice and expensive bars and restaurants.

Yesterday we checked out the shopping in the area, first we headed to an outside Mall in the Dockland area called Harbour Town Centre, pretty pants except for Cotton On! Both found some Barry bargains and left happy! This is now Lois’s favourite shop, because there is nothing in there over a fiver! We then caught the free tram to Swanston Street, here we checked our emails at the very impressive Library and then took a walk along Bourke Street for some more shopping! Lois tried her first bit of sushi, then we bought a boost shake courtesy of Marc and Bex, Thanks Guys!! Last night we headed to the bar downstairs for a Christmas Eve drink, everyone was getting on it pretty early, some people were absolutely smashed by 8! We had a couple and then retired to bed, like the granddads’ we are!

Woke up today and opened my cards, Thank you Mum, Dad, Nicola, Marc and Ryan! X
We are having Christmas dinner here today, they are laying on Free Bubbly between 12-1 and then a Christmas lunch! Games start at 3ish. We can’t get too drunk as we have got an early wake up, we are heading to Great Ocean Road tommoz!! Can’t wait.

Just wanted to say, It doesn’t feel like Christmas (Even though Lois is pumping Xmas songs out, which is starting to annoying me!!) when you are away from home!
