Ok, so the time we've been waiting for for almost a year is nearly here...

On Monday we're going down to London to start our adventure in style... AKA staying in Gatwick Central Travelodge, which will probably set a high standard of accommodation for our time in Mexico and Central America.

I've set up this blog so that people can see whereabouts we are at roughly the same time as we are actually there, internet depending. This is so my family (I'm looking at you, Mum!) can see that we most probably haven't been kidnapped by Mexican banditos, or at least we hadn't been at the time we were in the internet cafe/hostel lounge.

So, I'll try to update here as often as I can, mainly to make you all jealous, although I'm not sure how good the WiFi is from a beachfront hammock, sipping a cocktail......
