We left Koh Tao and got the boat across to Koh Samui. It was the worst boat journey of my life as I had really bad indigestion and the sea was really rough. I spent the whole boat trip on the back of the boat.

When we got to Koh Samui, we checked into Coconut Beach hotel where we shared a twin room together. Omg.. It was the best bed ever!! And the duvet smelt sooo fresh! We didn't even make it out that night; we went out for a Subway (I had a salad.. Who does that??) and then went straight to bed. After many nights in hostels, a good sleep was really appreciated!

The next day, we headed to the beach which was a 1 minute walk from our hotel. We went to Arc bar which is right along the beachfront and had breakfast on the beach. Arc bar is a massive lively hotel resort that plays house music all day. We found sunbeds by the pool and sunbathed all day. It was scorching hot!!! Possibly the hottest day so far. We went out that evening and started at Arc bar. We set off a lantern into the sky on the beach. There were Burmese children selling things on the beach at midnight. One girl hugged me around the waist and wouldn't let go. I don't know why but little kids seemed to love me. We headed out to the bars in the centre after and met some lads from London. We weren't very keen on Koh Samui. It was full of ladyboys and sleazy clubs. We went to a bar called Green Mango and it was full of men with beards. There didn't seem to be any girls on the island!

We left Koh Samui at 6am the next morning so we didn't even go to bed. We got another boat/bus to Koh Phi Phi where we would spend the next 5 days. We had been really looking forward to Phi Phi as we had heard so many good things about it!
