Tick - been quad biking for the first time
Tick - I tipped it over and it fell on me - more bruises!
Tick - went swimming in the beautiful Indian ocean - but stubbed my toe on a rock and now it's painful to walk!

So it was a great day out but again I have a very red nose. It must be growing (my nose that is) and not fitting under my hat anymore, I never used to have this problem.

I went about 45km on the bike , all around the peninsular - three bay areas. A lot of off roading (a bit scary at times) but also through villages, past old world war 2 cannons (this area was apparently crucial in the war to guard the Indian ocean) and with staggering views of the coast line and managed to see a lemur sleeping as well. Had a delicious lunch on the deserted beach as well as winning, walking and sun bathing. The guide was ok, not great English but we got by - he couldn't work out why I wasn't married or more importantly didn't have kids.

But I've struck a deal with him to go snorkeling in the Emerald Sea tomorrow (it really is an amazing blue - rather than green) at a cheap price - so let's see what happens and if there are in fact any snorkels. I'll also need sun tan applying to my back thrown in as well! Decided to snorkel - not so good for more full on sun but better than walking in a national park with a bruised toe. That will be the day after!!
